The CAC baseball team finished off the week with a sweep of Yavapai on Saturday, winning game one 4-2 and game two 6-1.
In game one Cody Farrell led the offense going 1-3 with 3 RBIs. David Petrino went 3-3 with two runs scored, and Aaron Smith, Andris Rizquez, and MJ Hubbs each had a hit. Conner O'Neil picked up his fourth win on the mound, going 5.1 IP with 9 K's and giving up only 2 runs. Junior Zepeda relieved O'Neil in the sixth, and picked up his league leading 11th save of the year.
In game two, Joel Kuhnel picked up his second win of the year, going a strong 6.1 IP with 10 K's and not giving up an earned run. Justin Seiwald finished out the game throwing 2.2 IP with 5 K's and giving up no runs.
Smith scored three times, walked twice, and had one hit and an RBI in game two. Farrell and Rizquez each picked up a pair of RBI in game two while Petrino extended his hitting streak to 12 games.
The Vaqueros will hit the road on Tuesday to play Eastern Arizona for a doubleheader starting at noon.
