Vaq's put it all together-sweep Eastern Arizona

There aren't many coaches that wouldn't love getting that kind of power out of the two hole.

"The guy was seeing the ball well all day and had a great day at the plate" noted HC Anthony Gilich about his third baseman Cooper Esmay, who hit second in both games which Central won 5-0 and 9-1. Esmay homered in both games going 5-8 with two other doubles and scoring five runs. That's the kind of day that puts a smile on your face for two days.

George Castillo was lights out all day, fanning ten and giving up no runs for 6.1, and Christian Botnick wrapped it up saving the 5-0 shutout.

"We got great pitching today from everyone, especially Castillo and Seiwald (game two starter). We were looking forward to getting back on the field and competing again. These guys are very resilient and played very well."

"I was proud of our guys for sticking to the game plan and finding a way to win"-Coach Gilich

Justin Seiwald threw seven lights out innings in game two, canning six and walking only one. He knows what he can do and he did it today. The Vaqueros rapped ten hits including a Toby Johnson triple and Josh Ethier double. MJ added two more hits including his sixth ya-ya to left field and is currently hitting a smooth .453 with twenty ribs and twenty runs scored.

Those are good numbers.

"Josh Ethier is doing a great job on both sides. The guy brings energy to this team."

#1 Josh Ethier hitting .369 with 5 SB, 24 hits and a .469 OBP

There's nothing like winning. That's three in a row for Central, they'll take Sunday off and play continues Wednesday, Thursday and a conference DH Saturday at home vs Glendale.
