Eggiman sparks Vaqs at plate-picks three.
Eggiman sparks Vaqs at plate-picks three.

Big day for Central in win against Mesa; Eggiman, DLT, Estrada on bases all day.

If it ain't one it's another and if it is one, it's also another. The Central Arizona Vaqueros top four in the lineup is the most dangerous in all ways in the ACCAC. But so is the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th, no matter who they are.

The proof is in the stats and when your team leads the ACCAC in runs, walks, hits, RBI's and is second in homeruns, doubles and triples. on base percentage, and slugging percentage.....

...and you play at The Big House.

Central led 8-3 after four innings, added four more runs and took win number 31 against Mesa Community College on Saturday. The final was 12-5. Mesa has firepower and many wins so taking the two for the weekend makes a nice statement, Central is in first place in the ACCAC with 31-5 and 13-3.

Jayden Eggiman went 2-3 and scored three times, doubled and tripled, knocked in two and stole three bases. Eggiman leads the team in SB with 16 and when he gets on base, it turns into an event. Players like this disrupt everything for the other team.

Jaime Estrada drove in four runs from the two spot in the order with a double and triple, Andrew Chartrand walked twice and scored twice in the lead-off, Caleb Henderson doubled, and Ernie de la Trinidad went 4-5 with a double on the day.

Going 4-5 should never be under valued, but YOU try writing an article about a team with 14 hits that scored 12 runs again. The Vaqs are up to almost ten runs a game.

Nice day for the Central bullpen! The relieving team of Sati Santa Cruz and Grant Townsend shut out the Thunderbirds for the final four giving up one single and striking out five.

Every day it's a different story.
