Andrew Edwards a LHP from Tucson, AZ has also committed to play for the New Mexico State Aggies.  Edwards, a sophomore, was used in both a starter and reliever role during his freshman campaign.  He was 5-1, pitched 49.1 innings, allowing 53 hits and struck out 57.  "Andrew is unique because he can pitch effectively as a starter or out of the bullpen.  He is a LHP that has a lot of swing and miss and that translates to any level of baseball."

New Mexico State Head Coach Brian Green on signing Peyton and Andrew – "After signing the POY from Central last year, to continue the relationship with Peyton and Andrew is awesome for us.  We have signed a premiere left handed arm and a huge right handed arm from one of the best JUCO's in the country and we have signed integrity and character which will continue to impact the Aggie Culture."

Grant Townsend a RHP from Lake Tapps, WA signed his NLI to play at Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma.  Townsend threw 42.1 innings, striking out 44 and finishing with a 4-3 record.  Oral Roberts is the defending Summit League champions.  "Grant's stuff is electric and he continues to get better each time out," said Gilich.  "He should get a lot of innings at ORU and will help them win games." The Last Vaqueros to attend ORU were RHP's Chandler Griffin and Jason Stacy in 2009.

Makoa Rosario a OF/C from Hilo, HI will be playing and most likely competing for National Championships at Lewis-Clark State College (ID).  LCSC is the winningest program in college baseball, competing in NAIA, the Warriors have won a staggering 18 National Championships.  After redshirting his freshman year, Rosario saw time in both the OF and behind the plate in 2016.  He hit .320 with 11 doubles, 3 triples and 2 HR's while also swiping 13 stolen bases.  "He is the hardest working player we have had in our program in the last 10 years.  His drive and commitment to getting better are unmatched by any player I have coached," said Coach Gilich.  The last Vaquero to go to LCSC was SS Kevin Lovelace in 2010.

Justice Nakagawa an INF from Hawaii has committed to play at West Texas A&M next season.  As a freshman, Nakagawa started 18 games hitting .297 and played a solid defense committing only 4 errors.  "Naks biggest strength is his versatility.  He can play all 3 infield spots and is a very aggressive hitter at the plate.  West Texas A&M is a great fit and he will make an impact right away."

Ryley Widell a LHP from Maui, HI has committed to the University of North Carolina.  Widell a 6'4 205 pound sophomore transferred in to Central after spending his freshman year at Washington State University.  Currently, Widell is ranked as the #4 JUCO prospect in the country according to Perfect Game.  "Ryley is a special talent.  He has size, command and a loose arm." Gilich continued, "The best part about him is that he is humble and is a great kid."  Widell is the first Vaquero to commit to UNC.

Gio Lopez a RHP from Goodyear, AZ signed his NLI with the University of Missouri Tigers.  Lopez is a transfer from Arizona State University and will make a huge impact for the Vaqueros.  Currently, Lopez is ranked #15 JUCO prospect in the country by Perfect Game.  Coach Gilich on Lopez – "He has some of the best stuff on our staff.  He can run his fastball up there and he has an absolute hammer of a breaking ball.  Gio has big league talent." Brian Carr was the last Vaquero to attend Missouri in 2010.

"Will is a great pitcher and student and that is why Tulane is a great fit for him."  Gilich added, "We're lucky to have him, he will be a big part of our success."

Ty Johnson a catcher from Anacortes, WA has also committed to play for Coach Jewett and Tulane University.  Johnson transferred with teammate Ryley Widell from Washington State University to Central Arizona.  As a freshman for the Cougars, Johnson started 23 games and hit .349 in PAC12 play.  "Ty is a dirtball in the best sense of the word.  He works hard and is a grinder, a true catcher with a big arm," said Gilich.

Bradley Gonzales a RHP from Tucson, AZ inked his future with Dallas Baptist University.  Gonzales comes to Central Arizona after spending last year in the ACCAC, but pitching for the Cougars of South Mountain CC.  Known as "the big cat," Gonzales has both size and athleticism, which will serve him well in the backend of the Vaquero bullpen.  "Bradley is a great great kid and fun to be around, but don't let him fool you, he works extremely hard and wants to win."
