Central falls to South Mountain 7-5

Ryley Widell going for Central Arizona and he got a full six innings in and left with 4-3 lead, but South Mountain Community College rallied with four runs in the bottom of the seventh in Phoenix Wednesday afternoon to take a 7-5 baseball game. 

Central had only six hits in the ball game to South Mountain's ten, South Mountain looks like a pretty good baseball team at this very early stage of the season. 

Bright spots for Central included a pinch hit homerun from Justice Nakagawa, his first, and Alix Garcia drove in two more runs with a single. Devin Ray walked and scored twice in the leadoff, and Roger Varela doubled and scored himself. 

Notable:

-Jake Vander Wal is fifth in the ACCAC with 15 RBI

-Central is second in the ACCAC in RBI with 115 and still leads the conference with an amazing 14 triples.

-With 124 runs scored in 15 games Central is second in the conference.

-Peyton Remy currently has an ERA of .084.

-Ryley Widell currently has an ERA of 1.74

-Alix Garcia is up to .417 BA good for sixth in the ACCAC
