Central Loses First Game in 16; Second Suspended After Scoreless Five

There was no way to finish game 2 in the DH on Tuesday in Yuma since the first game went 16 innings. After a 5-4 loss in game one, game two was suspended with a scoreless tie after five innings.

Game 1

The game was tied at 3-3 after three innings and from there it was eight straight scoreless innings for both team. Both Central and Arizona Western scored once in the 12th, and a walk-off BB gave Western the win in the bottom of the 16th. The Vaqueros couldn't quite squeeze the runners they had on board around in game 1, with twelve hits and seven walks totaled, only four runs could come of it.

Jake Vander Wal, Andrew Chartrand, Alix Garcia, and Matt Kroon scored the Central runs, while seven Cowboy pitchers held the Matadors to three earned runs. Western somehow won with only four total hits in 16 innings.
