Central Rips 14 More Hits in 11-3 Win

Alix Garcia bombed one and drove in five runs on the afternoon, and five other Vaqueros had at least two hits as Central Arizona College won their eighth game out of the last ten. The final was 11-3 over the Chandler Gilbert Coyotes.

Central sits in the fourth and final play-off position at 13-11, two conference games ahead of Yavapai College. The Vaqueros move to 29-15 overall.

Andrew Chartrand is blazing hot, he had two more hits Tuesday, walking once, scoring twice, and raising his batting average to .359. Throw in a great SAC bunt and that tops off a terrific day at the plate for Charts.

Hitting leadoff is doing very well for him and The College. Chartrand is 10-16 in his last four games at leadoff. Central Arizona has jumped from eighth to third in conference in the past three weeks in team batting average. They are currently hitting .301 as a team.

Matt Kroon, Pikai Duque-Winchester, Chris Diehl and Justice Nakagawa added two hits apiece.

Peyton Remy threw a solid 7.1 giving up two earned runs and striking out eight. Remy's ERA at 2.13 has him seventh in the conference. All games are solid when the 22 starts. Luis Tellechea spotted one BB, then struck out three Coyotes in the final 1.2 to give Remy his fourth win (4-3) of the season.

The Coyotes host at their place on Wednesday night, first pitch is at 6:00PM

Side Note: The baseball version of Chartrand is (or should be) pronounced CHARTS. As in **off the Charts**.

He's been called SHARTS by teammates. No.
