Koa Eastlack closed out Monday's 8-0 shutout of Phoenix College where Central pitching struck out 15 in a two-hit shutout.

Trio blanks Phoenix College-Central takes 2 of 3

A couple of runs here and a couple of runs there.

After five innings it's 4-0 and after seven it's 8-0 and quietly in the end...it's a two-hit shutout.

Zach Hogueisson went 2-4 with another double and scored twice, Ernny Ordonez hit his fourth homer and drove in his 37th run, and Luke Schwartz collected two hits and scored twice to help account for a lot of Central's eight runs. Hunter Jump added an rbi double and Jacob McKeon singled and added a scrifice fly.

But you only need one when you give up two singles the entire game.

Leo Palacios fired an overwhelming five innings striking out a full ten batters, Brandon Jenkins struck out five of his nine batters, and Koa Eastlack pitched the final inning for a two-hit shutout of Phoenix and Central took two of three with the Monday win.

Fifteen "thank you sir, please sit down's" for Central on the day!

The Vaqueros lead the ACCAC in ERA and strikeouts and pitching continues to dazzle in almost all ways.

Well the pre-season is over and it's time for the stretch run and pay attention because what we see now at the top in the ACCAC means nothing. Six teams are now screaming and it will be fun to see who has what for the final 16 games, and where they all end up.

Central travles to Yavapai Tuesday for a double-header to get everything going.
