Bio

Coach Overman begins his third year as an assistant coach at Central Arizona and will work with outfielders and coach first base.  

In his first season, Overman helped guide the Vaqueros to a school record in wins with a 59-13 record and the 4th NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP in school history.  2 of his outfielders (Kiko Romero, Jaylin Rae) were named 1st Team All ACCAC.  

In his second year, CAC won their second consecutive conference title and two of Overman's outfielders were recognized as All ACCAC performers (Ashtin Webb, Blake Avila).

Isaiah Overman from Boulder, CO in his first year at Central Arizona. Took on the role of being an assistant coach at Central Arizona after being an Undergraduate Manager at GCU for four seasons (2017-2021). Was a part of the GCU staff with 2 WAC championships for the Lopes in ‘18 and ‘21, including the first NCAA regional appearance for the Lopes in the Division 1 era. Assisted in all aspects of the game including hitting, base running, defense, and a handful of pitching but assisted Coach Stankiewicz primarily with the infielders. Spent one season (‘21) on the same staff as Pitching Coach Jon Wente (former Central Arizona head coach from 2005-2014). Spent a good time behind the scenes of GCU Baseball, assisting in traveling, budgeting, maintaining equipment, and ordering equipment when needed. Graduated from Grand Canyon University in 2021 with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Sports Management.

Spent three seasons as an assistant coach with the Canyon Thunder (summer ball) being primarily in charge of the infielders and hitters, who have gone on to play in all divisions of baseball.
