Former Central Arizona College superstar in Cross Country and Track and Field, will be competing in the 2016 Olympic games. Violah Lagat who was a several time NJCAA National Champion, as well as part of CAC's 2009 Women's Cross Country NJCAA National Champion team, will be competing for her home country of Kenya in the 1500m. Coach Tavares states that he is extremely proud of all the hard work that Violah has put in since leaving CAC, in order to become a world class athlete. I wish her the best at the Olympic Games.
