Results

The CAC Mens Cross Country team on the strength of their depth  claimed their 4th National Championship title  in 8 years. The Womens team had a strong showing with a 6th place finish. 

The Championship meet was held in Garden City, Ks. 45 teams competed in the Mens race, and 46 teams in the Womens race.

Coach Tavares stated that " I am so happy for the mens team. They have worked so hard all year for this moment. I am always telling them that Championships are won during the summer mileage, and the hard training leading up to the contest." Many of the men ran over 1000 miles in the summer alone. We then added over 1000 miles of training during the season. "

The Women kept improving as the season went on. Unfortunately the Women team  didn't have their best race at Nationals. Coach tavares stated "I am very proud of the Womens team , they worked hard all year, they didn't have their best race at Nationals, but placing 6th in the Country is still a great accomplishment.
