Vaqueras back on it with a sweep

Devin Hally and Kyrstan Garcia again with complete games and Central passes Phoenix College in ACCAC standings.

The Vaqueras collected 22 hits in two games, the second game only five innings, and came away with a nice DH sweep of Phoenix College on Saturday. The two wins keep Central in second place in the ACCAC at 10-3 conference, 13-5 overall.

Game 1

Ashleigh Withers, Brittany Holland and Lindsey Smith each had two hits and Brianna Moeller scored twice in a 4-3 win. Devin Hally struck out six in a very nice complete game win. She is now 7-2 on the year.

Game 2

It was 7-1 Vaqueras after three innings, and Kyrstan Garcia went the full game giving up one earned run with only four hits allowed. It's extra special when the pitcher hits one out as Garcia did, a solo homerun, her first of the year. Brittany Holland was on a tear in the DH, going 3-3 with two ribs and two runs scored in this game, and overall, it was a 5-6 day for the third baseman. Moeller tripled and seven different Vaqueras drove in runs.
