Gateway Community College has to be relieved there will be no more games this season against Central Arizona College.

For one, Central scored 40 runs in the four game sweep.

Two, Gateway never scored at all.

The Vaqueras swept all four games this season with shutouts, the last two games coming Tuesday afternoon with scores of 8-0 and 10-0. Kyrstan Garcia threw both games Tuesday and the first was an 8-0 two hitter with ten strikeouts and no walks. The second was a 10-0 win with seven k's and one walk.

Twelve innings and seventeen strikeouts with just one walk?

Whew!

Garcia is now fourth in the conference in strikeouts 147. There were some hitters on Tuesday also, Kiya Thomas went 7-7 in both games and raised her batting average to .518 which is good for second in the ACCAC. She now has 61 RBI's and has stolen 19 bases to boot. The conference leader in SB's is Ashleigh Withers with 30. Withers homered in game two. Thomas doubled and singled three times in game 1, and in game two it was a double and two more singles. Aliyah Ewell also homered for the Vaqueras in game one.
