Vaqueras Sweep At Paradise Valley

Central Arizona College's Vaqueras are on a mini-roll and at a little past mid-point in the season are where they should be if the adage "mid-season form" is what we think it is.

CAC is now 25-10 overall with a double-header sweep of Paradise Community College on Tuesday and currently sit solidly in third place in the conference at 18-8.

First game starter Baylee Eaton won her 12th game (12-5) and second game starter Trinity Valentine won her ninth (9-3) with a three-hit shutout as Central won game two 9-0. The game one final was 9-5.

The teams batting average leader in Aliya Newell (.536) hit her second homerun in game one and with two more rbi's on the day now has 41 to also lead the team. Cleanup hitter Sonia Solis also homered in game two and had four hits on the day to increase her average to .406.

Central now leads the ACCAC in stolen bases and has also struck out the fewest time as a team. The team is currently batting .396.
