CAC Womens Track and field win the 2017 ACCAC championships

The Central Arizona Women have continued their consecutive streak of ACCAC victories  by defeating Mesa (117 - 51), Paradise Valley (126-40), Pima (123- 61), and Glendale (132- 18) in last weeks Conference Championship meet.  This marks 21 straight Conference Championships since the inception of the Women's program.  CAC's speed dominated this meet as they went first and second in the 100, 400, 110 hurdles, and 400 hurdles, and won the 4x100 relay.  Field events were very strong also winning the shot, hammer, javelin, and placing second in the long jump and triple jump. "Our javelin thrower, Candesha Scott, leads the nation in the javelin.  But she came out today and was second in the shot, second in the long jump, and third in the triple jump.  Our Indoor National Champion in the 400 came out today and very cleverly won the 800 in addition to easily winning the 400.  The Ladies came together today as a team."  

Both Men and Women travel to UCLA next to compete in the Jackie Joiner Invitational.
