CAC Track and Field take a big step forward at Paradise Valley Invite

The CAC Track and Field team competed at the Paradise Valley Invite. The team was led by athlete of the week Edwin Adams, and Lameya Charleton. CAC had numerous athletes from the invite qualify for the NJCAA Indoor champonships. Every CAC distance runner improved on last weeks performance, led by Ikageng Gaorekwe which scored one of the top times in the Country for the mens 3000m, and Lesego Mpshe doing the same for the womens 1000m. CAC Track team improved across the board with many athletes on the cusp of qualifying for the NJCAA Indoor National Championships. 

Lameya Charleton was the standout CAC Womens athlete of the Paradise Valley Invite. She scored one of the top times in the country in the 600m, as well as a strong showing in the 200m.

Edwin Adams has one of the top marks in the Country in the 60m High hurdles. 

Next week the Central Arizona College Track and Field team will be at Pima community College for the Aztec Invite.
