Marty Honea

Marty comes to Central Arizona College after completing a great career at Marana High School where he coached football and track since 1988.  He was Coach of the Year in football in 1996.  As a track coach, Marty’s athletes have set 23 school records at Marana.  Many of his athletes have gone on to compete collegiately across the country and in our Conference.  
Marty has a BA in Physical Education and had his Level One and Two USA Track and Field Certifications.  He has been a presenter at the National Association of Speed and Explosion and at the Arizona Track Coaches Association.  Marty also invented the Ultra Speed Pacer that is still used by all levels for speed development.  Marty was a multiple All-American in the Javelin and Decathlon while in college just missing out on the Olympic Trials in 1988.
