The Cowboys are in a season-ending must win situation. There are six remaining ACCAC games left and the stage is set for an exciting final two weeks. Central could finish as high as second place with a little help, or their last game could be the last regular season game against Cochise Community College.

"We control our destiny and I like our chances" said head coach Anthony Gilich. "If we continue to play good baseball, we'll be all right."

The College had nine hits in game one including four from Caleb Henderson in a 4-4 day with two runs scored and an rbi. MJ Hubbs doubled, Jake Brown had two hits including a bunt single, and leadoff Jaime Estrada had two more hits. Yavapai homered twice and now have 73 homeruns on the season, by far the most in the ACCAC. 

Ten runs on the day, but they didn't come by ripping them all over the field, Central had four bunt singles in combination with several wild pitches, a few stolen bases and timely hits to take a 10-7 win. Dakody Clemmer picked up his fifth with of the season (5-3) pitching  six and striking out five.

Ten runs in a small ball game. Well that's all right.

Connor Noble threw a very tidy first three in game two and it was 5-4 Roughriders after seven innings (how nice a sweep would be), but it's incredibly difficult to fully contain those conference leading  bats, Yavapai scored four more in the last two innings and took game two with a 9-4 win. Aldo Koutsoyanopulos with the ya-ya that cleared the oleanders in left. It was told the ball made it to the police shooting range.

Notes:

-Pitching coach Jerry A'hearn shaved his season long beard over the weekend. "Everyone will have to move on" he stated in a pre-game press conference in the bullpen as a small crowd gathered to express disappointment. It's all a memory now.

-The first four Division I teams in the ACCAC make the Division playoffs, Central Arizona is in the fifth position, two games back of Arizona Western who was swept Tuesday by nationally ranked #14 Cochise. 

-Central's final six conference games are against South Mountain, Eastern Arizona and conference leading Cochise.

-Arizona Western has lost seven of ten and face Eastern Arizona, Yavapai, and South Mountain to end the regular season.

Eastern Arizona could ruin somebody's season in the next week and a half.
