It all evens out doesn't it? I guess so, if you call 14 runs and 17 hits even.

Central Arizona pounded five into the desert Tuesday afternoon to take a 14-3 win against Chandler-Gilbert Community College to improve to 38-7 on the year, and 20-5 in conference play. The Vaqueros hold a one game lead over Yavapai college as of today and it looks like it will come down to these two at the end. Don't tell Cochise or South Mountain though. Separation is appearing and it's in the form of these four teams.

George Castillo combined with Centrals' sticks to make it a run rule game, with Castillo striking out a season-high 12 and walking none for the second straight game, both CG's. Castillo now leads the ACCAC in wins at 8-1. He now is striking out ten batters a game, and some of these games are seven and even five inning games. That's six complete games for Castillo. consistent all year, and getting better.

Ernie de la Trinidad homered twice, Brent Gibbs, Mitchell Robinson and en fuego Bradley Morgan all yanked one out. DLT hitting third, also scored three times and drove in three, raising his batting average to .443. Oh so THIS is what Coach was talking about in the pre-season.

Each player in the starting nine had hits again, Roger Varela had three more upping his average to .447. Think about that, a shortstop hitting .447. You know how they are, all field-no hit. Ask the head coach about that. 

"It was a clean game all around. Nice to see guys like Shane Potter and Justice Nakagawa make the most of their opportunities" said Anthony Gilich. This has been happening all year, no matter who you plug in...

Nakagawa had two hits and Potter hit a SAC fly and scored. Mitchell Robinson had three hits and scored twice and Bradley Morgan drove in three runs, scored twice and ripped one out. He's now hitting .364 in kind of a fill-in role and has a slugging percentage of .625, but that's third behind DLT at .732 and Caleb Henderson at .730. I don't even know what to say about statistics like that.
