GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Jake Jarvis hit a come-from-behind walk off single to advance six-seed Central Arizona past San Jacinto (TX) 11-10 in game 16 of the Alpine Bank Junior College Baseball World Series.

Central Arizona (51-7, 3-1 JUCO) got on the board via a pair of home runs in the bottom of the second. Jake Jarvis hit the first one to left, scoring Dusty Garcia. Garcia reached earlier in the inning on a four pitch walk. After a strikeout, Seth Beckstead hit a solo home run down the left line to make it 3-0.

In the third, the Vaqueros scored two more with a little small ball and a wild pitch by San Jacinto (51-15, 3-2 JUCO). Garcia singled into right center scoring Dayton Dooney. Kiko Romero would score as Lex Garcia threw the pitch to the backstop.

The Gators would get on the board in the fourth with a one-out bases loaded walk issued to Harold Coll. That is all they could muster as the next guys up would strike out. The Vaqueros would take that run back on another wild pitch by the Gators. It was 6-1 Central Arizona after four.

In the sixth, San Jacinto would hang a four-spot in the top of the inning. Sabin Ceballos singled up the middle scoring Alan Shibley. Shibley reached earlier in the inning on a leadoff single to left center. Austin Roccaforte would give himself up for the third run on a pinch hit RBI groundout. Jordan Williams would follow with a two-run home run into left center to cut the Vaquero lead to 6-5.

After a fly out to start the bottom of the sixth, Central Arizona had back-to-back hits by Matt Aribal and Preston Godfrey. Following a Gator pitching change, JD McLaughlin would make it 9-5 with a three run home run to left field.

San Jacinto would threaten in the eighth but would only muster a single run off a wild pitch by Drew Sommers. They would threaten again in the ninth with the first three batters reaching base off a pair of walks and a single. Jordan Williams would pick up a pair of RBI with a single hit of the body of the pitcher that rolled into the outfield making it 9-8.

After intentionally loading the bases to set-up the force out, Mason Lytle hit into a fielder's choice. One out was recorded and an error on the throw allowed two runs to come in and San Jacinto to take their first lead of the game at 10-9.

Central Arizona would put the first two runners aboard by virtue of a pair of doubles Dooney and Romero. Following a strikeout with runners at second and third, Jarvis hit the game winning single up the middle.

Jarvis went 2-5 with 4 RBI and the walkoff hit. McLauglin went 2-4 with 3 RBI. For the Gators, Jordan Williams went 2-5 with 4 RBI.

Central Arizona advances to Game 18, the Championship round Friday night at 7:00pm against McLennan (TX). San Jacinto has been eliminated.

Central Arizona must beat McLennan twice to win the JUCO, McLennan has to win just one.
