Bio

Coach Ridgway enters his first season with Central Arizona College, where he will serve as the Vaqueros' infield, base running, and third base coach for the 2025 season.

Ridgway joins the Vaqueros after spending the last five seasons at Southwestern Oregon Community College, a school in the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) in Coos Bay, Oregon, coaching under Dave Deutschman. During his time at Southwestern, Ridgway served as the team’s pitching coach in 2020 and 2021 before transitioning to the infield/outfield coach from 2022 to 2024. Ridgway helped lead Southwestern to three straight winning seasons, including program records in wins with 27 each year in 2023 and 2024, as well as playoff appearances in both seasons. Ridgway coached 17 All-Conference players and five NWAC Southern Region Gold Glove recipients. He was also selected as the All-NWAC and Southern Region NWAC Assistant Coach of the Year for the 2023 season. Ridgway’s team set the NWAC record for stolen bases with 194 bags in a single season in 2023.

Before his coaching career, Ridgway played for Southwestern Oregon CC from 2014 to 2017, earning three associate’s degrees. In his 2017 season, Ridgway was selected as a First Team Southern Region Infielder and received the Southern Region, All-NWAC, and ABCA Western Region Gold Glove at First Base. Ridgway spent his 2018 and 2019 seasons with Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, where he served as a first and third baseman, as well as a pitcher during his senior season for the Boxers. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Education in the spring of 2019.
