The CAC Track and Field Men's and Women's teams competed at the UCSD Invitational held on the campus of San Diego this past Saturday.  To say that the teams fared well would be an understatement, as 31 different marks were either improved upon as a new season best or personal best for the athletes in their respective events.  The meet, which consisted mostly of 4 year institutions from California, was the first out of state meet for the Track and Field team since 2019.

An impressive handful of athletes posted season best marks and times at UCSD, those athletes for the men were: Kiondre Taylor (11.27 100 Meter), Royden Peets (22.64 200 Meter), Joseph Meagher (4:07.31 1500 Meter), Hayden Gelder (4:08.47 1500 Meter), Salat Ibrahim (15:40.19 5000 Meter), Alazar Getahun (15:49.63 5000 Meter), James Fincher (16:13.05 5000 Meter), Christian Barreto (16:33.16 5000 Meter), Jamal Cash (15.59 110 Meter Hurdle), Obinna Nwankwo (15.96 110 Meter Hurdle), and the 4x100 Meter Relay (41.82).
