In 2013 Coach Kim Dismuke begins her sixth year with Central Arizona and her second as the Women’s Head Track Coach. Coach Kim has had five years of record breaking sprinter’s performances while at Central Arizona College.  Elexis Fuller-Stewart (11, 47, 23.97, 13.71 HH) from Milwaukee, WI and Plasarae Johnson (11.62, 24.01) from Tolleson, AZ led the way in 2013.   Also on the women’s side were Aliyah Mathews, Agata Klimovich and Ashanna Hodges. On the men’s side was Ben Trotter, Terence Narvaez, Armon Owens (University of Southern California), Kevaugh Hewitt (St. Augustine). Adding to the men’s team Erwin Jones (Lipscomb University), Leran Hutchings (University of California-Northridge) and Devontae Carson. Both sides continued to win all sprint and hurdle events at the Region Meet. The Women’s team finished 3rd and the Men’s team finished 7th at the National Championship.

In 2012, CAC Sprints and Hurdles strength continued with Central’s Women and Men. Central reloaded the women’s team with Charmine Delotch (New Mexico Highlands University), Prasanna Polite (Samford University), Adrianna Woletz  and Margaret Wilmot-Francis (University of Maryland Eastern Shore), Bianca Burrell (Jacksonville State University) and Chante Moore. The team continued to winning all sprint events at the Region One Championship and finishing 2nd during the Indoor and 3rd for the outdoor National Championship. Leading the men’s team was Jamaris McTear (10.44, 21.01 and 46.59) and Devonte Collins (Boise State University). Along with Jason Coupe (Oregon State University), Reggie Mortel (Tiffin University), Fard Rollock (Prairie View A & M University) and Immanuel Hutchinson they continued to sweep all sprints event finishing 1st at the Region meet and 2nd at the National Outdoor Meet.

In 2011 the women’s team took on a new challenge competing in the Indoor National Championship for the first time in the history of Central Arizona Track Program. They ended up finishing in 2nd place. The women’s team was led by Arizona’s top sprinter Serene Williams from Glendale, Arizona,St. Kitts top sprinter Tameka Williams and Rochester, New York’s sprinter Brianna Cormartie (New Mexico State University). Along with Kiona Anderson (Tiffin University), Nicolette Monroe, and Arizona’s top 800 meter runner Mariah Bowers (UTEP) CAC Women continue to dominate with a 2nd place finish in at the Outdoor National Championship. The men’s team lead by sophomores Hotchkins, Edwards, Cooks, Ishan Garrett (Tiffin University), Tyler Odom (Tiffin University) and Aaron Williams (Adam State) captured a 1st place finish at the Regional Meet and 4th place finish at the National Championship.

In 2010 the women and men sprinters groups continued to prosper under the direction of Coach Kim Dismuke. With the sophomore returners Magen Del Pino,  Erin Humphrey and Kierre Beckles  and the freshman Eulanne Douglas, Sharonte Marshall, Shantae Boney (Hampton University), Kia Allen (Prairie View A & M University) and Cassandra Snider (Portland State) the team continue their winning streak at the Region championship in the 100, 200, 400, 110 H, 400 H and both relays. The men’s team was led by two outstanding sophomore sprinters Stefan Johnson and Shane Brathwaite. With the addition of a  great recruiting class of Joel Hotchkins (University of Oregon), Jordan Edwards (Academy of Arts) and Joey Cook, CAC Sprint crew was very solid. They were led by Hotchkins who ran 10.3 (W) and Edwards 10.4 (W), the 400 relay with Hotchkins, Edwards, Johnson and  Barthwaite that ran a 39.82.

In 2009. the sprint crew on the women’s side was led by Megan Del Pino (UTEP), Karene King (Portland State), Bianca Dougan (University of Minnesota), Erin Humphrey, Karla Hope (Abilene Christian University) and Keirre Beckles (University of South Carolina). The Women’s team were successful in winning the Region in the 100, 200, 400, and both the 400 and 1600 meter relay. The men’s sprint crew was led by Stefan Johnson (Northern Arizona University), Kemar Clarke, Tony Reid, Dennis Scruggs (Baylor) and Shane Brathwaite (Texas Tech). The Men dominated the Region meet by winning the 100, 200, 400, 110H, 400H and both the 400 and 1600 meter relay.

In 2008, both men and women’s relay teams were extremely successful. The men’s 4x100 relay (Edwards, Howard, Walker and Reed) won the Sun Angel Classic in a time of 39.32. The women’s 4x100 relay (Robinson, Hope, Richardson, and Kellman) set a new school record with a 44.97 at the same competition. The women’s 4x400 relay team won the gold medal at the National Championships in May. A number of CAC sprinters thrived with Coach “Kim” in 2008 running lifetime personal bests. Saravia Richardson (Louisville University) ran 11.70 and 24.00. Liann Kellman (LSU) ran 11.48 and 23.48. Karla Hope (Abilene Christian) ran two personal bests with a 53.43 in the 400M and a 23.56 in the 200M. Jamar Howard (LSU) ran his personal best of 46.70 this past season as well.

Coach Dismuke comes to Central after having been the Head Track & Field Coach for the past ten years at Moon Valley High School in Phoenix, AZ. During her tenure at M.V.H.S. she has coached and mentored numerous Regional and State Champions. Four times she was voted the Arizona 4A Desert Sky/Skyline's Track & Field Coach of the Year. For the past six years, she has also been an Assistance Track & Field Coach for the Junior Olympics team Arizona Rising Suns where she has coached numerous National Champions.

As a member of the Illinois State University Women's Track & Field team, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice/Sociology. At ISU she competed in the 100, 200 and 400 meter dash. She was also a member of the 400 and 1600 meter relay team. Coach Kim was a member of a 400 meter relay team that qualified for the NCAA meet and to this day still holds the school and stadium record. She was a Captain of the ISU Women's Track & Field team for two consecutively years and voted Minority Athlete of the Year. As a student, she was the President of the ISU Criminal Justice Association and Coordinator of the ISU Mentorship Program. Coach Kim also has a Masters in Special Education from the University of Phoenix.

Coach Kim is presently the Arizona USA Track & Field Women's Chair. She is USA Track & Field Level I certified. She was the USATF 2011 Thorpe Cup’s Assistant Coach, 2012 USATF Indoor World Championship Events Manager and the 2012 USATF Great North City Games Head Women’s Coach.

She looks forward to working with the tremendous coaching staff and athletes at Central Arizona College. Coach Dismuke believes hard work, dedication and commitment is the key to success on and off the track. Her motto is "Believing is Achieving." Coach Kim resides in Glendale, AZ where she is a High School Special Education teacher at Moon Valley High School.
