Gray inducted into Central Arizona Athletic Hall of Fame

Former Central Arizona Cross Country and Track Coach Mike Gray has added yet another impressive accolade to his resume.

This past fall, Gray was inducted into the Central Arizona Athletic Hall of Fame.  Mike served as the coach for the Vaqueros and Vaqueras from 1996 to 2010 and during that span won 5 National Championships in Cross Country, 6 NJCAA Coach of the Year awards, and coached 40 individual national champions.

Gray's accomplishments do not stop on the cross country course, as he has helped guide and encourage over 1000 student athletes from junior high to college achieve their higher level education.  Over the years, Gray has help mold many young individuals into successful members of society.

Gray, (70), still remains quite active by following a strict diet regiment and weekly exercise routine.  He also serves as an ambassador for Central Arizona's Cross Country and Track programs.  Mike retired in 2010 and now lives in Tucson, AZ with his wife Carole with daughter's Allana and Serena.
