CAC snags a pair of victories at Glendale

Recap from 3/9/21's doubleheader sweep:

CAC sweeeps on the day, led by strong pitching performances and an offensive outburst that led to 30 runs on 35 hits. Four Vaqueras (Sonia Solis, Brooke Williams, Cheyenne Hudson, and Emily Churchill) had home runs on the day. Solis and Churchill both picked up 5 hits on the day. Six additional Vaqueras ended the day with 3+ hits (Nicol Ley, B. Williams, Logan Kelly, Kirsta Wright, C. Hudson, and Jessica Mercado). 

On the mound, Sarah Norton snagged her third win of the season, with a line of 5 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 5 K, 2 BB in game one. In game 2, Jessica Mercado earned the victory to improve to 4-1 on the season. Ana Rodriguez also went one inning in game two and allowed no runs and struck out a hitter.

CAC returns to play on Saturday, March 13th, with a home ACCAC doubleheader matchup vs. Phoenix College.
