
Vaqueras rally late, win on walk off home run to secure season sweep vs South Mountain
On Saturday, CAC completeted its largest comeback win of the season in the game 2 victory.
Trailing 9-2 in the bottom of the 5th, the Vaqueras were able to plate four runs on three base hits (Bella Garcia, Emily Churchill, Nicol Ley), an error, and a bases loaded walk drawn by Kayla Lopez. In the bottom of 6th inning, Churchill drove in Kyana Vieux with a sacrifice fly to deep right-center. In the bottom of the 7th inning, Lopez led off with a walk. Sabrina Garcia followed the at bat with a single. Two batters later and with CAC down 11-7, Nicol Ley hit a 3 run home run to left field to bring the Vaqueras within one run. Then, after a Kyana Vieux single and a fielders choice by Ana Rodriguez, Bella Garcia stepped to the plate and delivered the no-doubt HR to left field to end the game with CAC on top, 12-11.

WP, game 2: Katelyn Woodard (9-1)
In game 1, CAC won 11-3 in 5 innings behind Jessica Mercado, who tossed a line of 5 IP 3 K 1 BB 2 ER to improve to 11-3 overall on the season. In this one, Nicol Ley collected three hits, including a double, and three RBI's. Ana Rodriguez was 2-2 with a three run HR and a double. Emily Churchill also got in on the action and had two hits and two RBI's, with one of her hits being a HR. CAC drew 9 walks on the day (Brooke Williams x2, Marina Acedo x2, Sabrina Garcia, Kyra Vieux, Emily Churchill, Bella Garcia, Ana Rodriguez) which led directly to 5 runs and allowed for extra plate apperances. On the day, CAC tallied 21 hits, 23 runs, 14 walks, and 4 HR.
