CAC goes 2-0 vs Glendale with 2 walk-off run rule victories

CAC completed the season sweep of Glendale on Saturday, winning both games in 5 innings. CAC outscored the Gauchos 19-3 on the day and collected 21 hits in 44 at bats to improve to 40-5 on the season.

In game 1, Ana Rodriguez picked up the win - the right-hander pitched 4 innings and allowed 1 earned run to improve to a 16-1 record. In this matchup, Nicol Ley hit 2 home runs to add to her season total of 9. The infielder has 25 total extra-base hits this year. Brooke Williams hit her 5th home run of the season - she is 6-6 in her last 6 at bats. In the bottom half of the 5th inning, CAC won on a run rule walk off when Sabrina Garcia doubled to left-center, scoring Brooke Williams and Kyra Vieux.

Game 2 featured a complete game in the circle from Jessica Mercado. The righty improved to 14-3 this season with the win - she also drove in a pair with a 2 RBI double in the 4th inning. In the second game, Emily Churchill hit her 18th home run of the season. Sabrina Garcia hit two home runs in game two, including a run rule walk off in the 5th against Gaucho pitcher Andraya Romero. Garcia has driven in 16 runs in the last 6 games. 

CAC is back in action this upcoming week on Tuesday 4/26 at Pima and on Saturday 4/30 at Yavapai.
