Track and Field Produce More National Qualifying Marks at the PVCC Indoor Invitational

The Central Arizona College Men and Women Track and Field Teams competed at the PVCC Invitational on Saturday.  Central Arizona did not field their complete team but had some solid performances notably from Joshua Mascall (freshman), David Lynch (Freshman), Connor Chaffee (freshman), Sharvis Simmonds (Sophomore), Grace Kombetto (Freshman), T'anna Liburd (Freshman), Brianna Samuels (Sophomore), and Rejoice Agbewodie (Freshman).

Joshua ran the 12th fastest 60 meter time in the nation with a mark of 6.78 seconds.

David ran the 11th fastest 200 meter time in the nation with a mark of 21.43 seconds.

Connor ran the 14th fastest 600 meter time in the nation with a mark of 1:21.07.

Sharvis ran the 5th fastest 60 hurdle time in the nation with a mark of 8.04 seconds.

Grace ran the 5th fastest 600 meter time in the nation with a mark of 1:36.89.

T'anna ran the 15th fastest 600 meter time in the nation with a mark of 1:39.43.

Brianna ran the 18th fastest 800 meter time in the nation with a mark of 2:21.41.

Rejoice posted a 41'8 shot up, taking the 11th best distance in the nation to date.  

The track and field teams will be back in action on February 3rd at the CAC Indoor Invitational held at Central Arizona College.
