Track and Field Continues to add to the National Qualifying Group after the CAC Indoor Invitational

The Central Arizona College Men and Women Track and Field Teams competed at the CAC Indoor Invitational on Saturday.  Central Arizona did not field their complete team but had some solid performances notably from Gabriel Oliveria (Freshman), Patience Boahemaa (Sophomore), Grace Kombetto (Freshman), T'anna Liburd (Freshman), Brianna Samuels (Sophomore), and Temyra Bia (Freshman).

Gabriel posted a 47-08.00 mark in the triple jump, taking the 12th best mark in the nation to date. 

Patience ran the 3rd fastest 60 hurdle time in the nation with a time of 8.73 seconds.

Grace ran the 17th fastest 800 meter time in the nation with a time of 2:19.68.

T'anna ran the 10th fastest 400 meter time in the nation with a time of 56.17.

Brianna ran the 5th fastest 600 meter time in the nation with a time of 1:37.25.

Temyra ran the 18th fastest 1000 meter time in the nation with a time of 3:10.62

The track and field teams will be back in action on February 10th at the Gaucho Indoor Invitational held at Glendale Community College.
