The Central Arizona Colllege Vaqueros baseball season started in Nevada this past week-end and swept all four games, so with a combination of everything it takes to win a baseball game, they did it all, but you point to two things.

These Vaqueros drew forty walks in four games.

Ten walks per game.

A walk is as good as a hit.

So with 24 base hits in four games, adding in 40 walks, that equals 64 hits in four games.

Sixteen a game.

Not bad!

In the four games, Central pitching struck out 62 batters, 23 in the first game.

Fifteen a game.

Not bad!

It's early and the head Coach Anthony Gilich is getting them all in there, shuffling, watching, managing, the goal being, get that lineup set as early as possible.

We know one thing, this will be yet another fun team to watch, as they are each and every year.

Central Arizona hosts at least one game at The Big House and possibly two this weekend in the upcoming Zinger Tournament, day one is Friday as Central welcomes back the Bears from Salt Lake Community College.
