Vaqueros Take Thirteen Walks But Can't Get Them Around In 6-5 Loss

Central Arizona had a ton of basebath commotion Wednesday at the newly christened McSwain Field, but in the end, just couldn't force 'em across in a 6-5 loss to the Phoenix College Bears Wednesday afternoon.

The game went ten innings, and with the scored tied at five in the top of the tenth, the Bears got a two out triple and single to take the lead, and Devon Dixon led off the bottom of the tenth with a walk and a chance, but was doubled out.

"Yeah we need to hit a little better when these chances pop up" said Gilich.

"And we had a little lead there in the sixth, and we have to nail those down."

Logan Valencia is stinging the baseball, he drove in three runs with two singles. Ryan Ball walked three times and scored in the lead-off position, and in his first collegiate start, Marcus Harrison ripped the ball all day which included a rocket caught in left to end the ninth inning. He singled twice, walked and scored.

Just five hits for Central Wednesday, but you add in thirteen walks and two HBP's, you've got commotion.

Could have been a win, it wasn't, and so what's next.
