Central Arizona Track and Field Produces Quality Results at the William Williams Invitational

The Men and Women Track and Field Teams competed at the Willie Williams Invitational hosted by The University of Arizona on Friday and Saturday.  Central Arizona did not field their complete team but had some solid performances notably from David Lynch (Freshman), Joshua Mascall (Freshman), Julian Campos (Sophomore), Sharvis Simmonds (Sophomore), Ariel Clark (Sophomore), Gabriel Oliveria (Freshman), and the Men's 4x100 team.

David qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the 200 meter with a time of 21.27 and currently has the 13th best time in the nation. 

Joshua qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the 400 meter with a time of 46.90 and currently has the 3rd best time in the nation. 

Julian qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the 1500 meter with a time of 3:56.08 and currently has the 9th best time in the nation. 

Sharvis qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.31 and currently has the 6th best time best in the nation. 

Sharvis qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 53.58 and currently has the 3rd best time in the nation. 

Ariel qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 53.69 and currently has the 4th best time in the nation. 

Gabriel qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the Long Jump with a mark of 24' 1.75" and currently has the 5th best distance in the nation. 

Gabriel qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the Triple Jump with a mark of 49' 2.25" and currently has the 3rd best distance in the nation. 

The 4x100 Meter Relay, consisting of Sharvis-Myles-David-Joshua, qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet with a time of 40.94 and currently has the 8th best outdoor time in the nation. 

The track and field teams will be back in action on March 29th at the ACCAC Conference Championships which are being held at Paradise Valley Community College.
