Vaqueros Compete at Brian Clay and Glendale to Conclude Busy Weekend

The Central Arizona Men and Women Track and Field Teams competed at the Brian Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific University on Friday and Saturday while a small group competed at the Gaucho Invitational hosted by Glendale Community College on Saturday.  Central Arizona did not field their complete team at either meets but had some solid performances notably from Samuel Gilson (Freshman) and Myles Copeland-Naulty (Freshman).

Samuel qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the 5000 meter with a time of 14:30.16 and currently has the 9th best time in the nation. 

Myles qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the 400 meter with a time of 47.54 and currently has the 22nd best time in the nation.  

The track and field teams will be back in action on April 19th at the Mesa Invitational held by Mesa Community College.
