Throwers Shine at the Cody McBride Invitational on Saturday

The Men and Women Track and Field Teams competed at the Cody McBride Invitational hosted by Paradise Valley on Saturday.  Central Arizona did not field their complete team but had some solid performances notably from Cameron Thomas (Freshman), Rejoice Agbewodie (Freshman), Kaise Ugeh (Sophomore), Aliyah Gidharry (Freshman), and Grace Kombetto (Freshman).

Cameron qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the Javelin with a mark of 186' 7" and currently has the top distance in the nation. 

Rejoice qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the Discus with a mark of 154' 6" and currently has the top distance in the nation. 

Rejoice qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the Javelin with a mark of 141' 10" and currently has the top distance in the nation. 

Rejoice qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the Hammer with a mark of 155' 2" and currently has the 2nd best distance in the nation. 

Kaise qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the Shot Put with a mark of 45' 3.75" and currently has the best distance in the nation. 

Kaise qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the Discus with a mark of 147' 5" and currently has the 2nd best distance in the nation. 

Kaise qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the Javelin with a mark of 127' 9" and currently has the 3rd best distance in the nation. 

Aliyah qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the Javelin with a mark of 125' 10" and currently has the 4th best distance in the nation. 

Grace qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the 800 with a time of 2:15.74 and currently has the 5th best outdoor time in the nation. 

The track and field teams will be back in action on March 29th and 30th at the Willie Williams Invitational, held at the University of Arizona.
