Central Arizona Track and Field Produces Quality Results at the Willie Williams Invitational

The Men and Women Track and Field Teams competed at the Willie Williams Invitational hosted by The University of Arizona on Friday and Saturday.  Central Arizona did not field their complete team but had some solid performances notably from T'anna Liburd (Freshman), Grace Kombetto (Freshman), Brianna Samuels (Sophomore), Kasie Ugeh (Sophomore), Rejoice Agbewodie (Freshman), and the Women's 4x400 team.

T'anna qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the 400 meter with a time of 55.67 and currently has the 3rd best time in the nation. 

Grace qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the 800 meter with a time of 2:10.18 and currently has the best time in the nation. 

Grace qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 1:01.71 and currently has the 3rd best time in the nation. 

Brianna qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the 1500 meter with a time of 4:53.88 and currently has the 11th best time best in the nation.  

Kasie qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the Javelin with a mark of 130' 8" and currently has the 7th best distance in the nation. 

Rejoice qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the Javelin with a mark of 148' 9" and currently has the 3rd best distance in the nation. 

The 4x400 Meter Relay, consisting of Mikelia-T'anna-Brianna-Grace, qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet with a time of 3:44.62 and currently has the best outdoor time in the nation. 

The track and field teams will be back in action on March 29th at the ACCAC Conference Championships which are being held at Paradise Valley Community College.
