Track and Field Compete Against Mostly NCAA D2 schools at the Triton Invitational

The Men and Women Track and Field Teams competed at the Triton Invitational hosted by The University of California San Diego on Friday and Saturday.  Central Arizona did not field their complete team but had some solid performances notably from T'anna Liburd(Freshman), Mikelia Strong (Sophomore), Rejoice Agbewodie (Freshman), and Kaise Ugeh (Sophomore).

T'anna qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the 400 meter with a time of 54.95 and currently has the 5th best time in the nation. 

Mikelia qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.37 and currently has the 3rd best time in the nation. 

Rejoice qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the Shot Put with a mark of 42' 0.5" and currently has the 10th best distance in the nation. 

Kaise qualified for the NJCAA Outdoor National meet in the Discus with a mark of 150' 5" and currently has the 6th best distance in the nation. 

The track and field teams will be back in action on April 13th at the Brian Clay and Gaucho Invitational which are being held at Azusa Pacific University and Glendale Community College, respectively.
